プロジェクトタイトル 谷中すきまの雨だれ　　　　設置場所MAP（※コマンドＮとSCAI THE BATHHOUSEでも展示しています。 ） プロジェクト要旨 東京・谷中のすきまにガラスでできた「雨だれ」を設置する。その雨だれには様々な民族の言葉で「水」「空気」という意味の言葉が刻まれている。（※コマンドＮに於いても展示しています。 ） コンセプト 水と空気は基本的に同じ物質であり、循環してまわるものだ。しかしそれは目にはみえない。同時に今私たちが生きているこの地球の上でこの「水」と「空気」はすべての人々、生物、鉱物によって共有されている。ほんの一粒の雨だれからそうした３次元、４次元へのつながりを感じ取ってほしいと思う。そしてその物体を「水」と名付けている文化もあり、「water」と名付けている文化もある。実にたくさんの言葉が同じ物質を表す。私たちが知らない、聞いたことのない言葉がたくさん存在する。その無数の存在、そしてそれらが一つの共通の物質を示唆する、というその事実を感じ取ってほしい。我々はみな個々に文化をもち言葉を持つ。そして同時にその生存のため、絶対に必要なものの一つに水と空気である。ひとつぶの雨だれから実に大きな世界へはいっていけるではないか。 Project Title Rain drops in Yanaka Outline of the project Install 'rain drops' made of glass on the trees in Yanaka. On the droplets the words 'water' and 'air' in many different languages will be etched. Concept Water and air consist of basically the same substance, and circulate through each other. It is an invisible circling, but both air and water are absolutely essential to every human being, and to other living things on the earth. Some cultures name it 'water', some name it 'mizu', and there are numerous other ways of naming which signify the same substance. There are numberless words which we have never heard. Despite the fact that we have such varied languages and cultures, every one of us universally needs substances such as water and air. I would like people to contemplate our differences and universality, and sense the connection between one rain drop and the extensive world.
